RIBA House of the Year


We were over the moon to win the prestigious specific 2019 Award for Project of the Year. 
Every consideration has been given to the interiors which are defined by their simplicity and by effective circulation flow using the central atrium as the pivot between quiet living rooms and busier kitchen and utility areas.

Balconies and terraces take full advantage of the 360 degree views whilst providing architectural modelling to the exteriors
Throughout there is total functionality allowing this to provide a naturally evolving beauty. The steel frame design allows for large open spans within the property, ease and speed of erection The careful steel design, allows extensive areas of glazing to deliver solar gain in winter and the canopies providing solar shading in the summer periods.  

The property is located near mature trees and sensitive wildlife, both of which were considered from the outset with sympathetic solutions being integrated into the design process.

Belvoir Vue won the Award for the best example in the UK of a one-off house that demonstrates innovation in the design of house building.

Amidst an almost entirely traditional series of villages, this house design brings a novel, exciting and sustainable concept of 21st century architecture to the otherwise bland and repetitive surrounding buildings.  The use of modern materials with their thermal, recyclable and maintenance-free qualities was a pre-requisite of the Client's brief and this has been fulfilled.

The horizontality and deeply articulated elevations provide visual interest and solar shading to what is an exposed, generally south-facing prospect.
